Expressive brushwork and thick impasto texture depicting a rural Tuscan hillside scene with villas, cypress trees, and cultivated fields. Reminiscent of post-Impressionist and Van Gogh influenced techniques. Beautiful composition. Silvano Bozzolini was an Italian artist born in 1911 just outside Florence. He was predominantly known for his abstract works but his earlier works were inspired by the Tuscan landscapes of his birthplace. Signs of use and wear cpmmensurate with age.
