Antique terracotta yeast pot from Calabria. Late 1800s/early 1900s Rare to find one in such good condition and with its lid. Made over a century ago in Seminara, Calabria, famous for its ceramics. Originally used for storing yeast. A beautiful pot with a turquoise blue/green and autumnal brown pattern which was often made with potato skins. Fabulous patina. This is a handmade, antique ceramic item so please expect some imperfections and signs of age. All form part of its charm. Please see all photos.
