A beautiful painting depicting the landscape around Rome at sunrise or sunset. Wonderful colours with layered hills fading into the distance beneath a softly glowing sky. Onorato Carlandi was an Italian painter born in Rome in 1848 and active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He is best known for his landscape paintings, vedute, and atmospheric views, often inspired by the Italian countryside and natural light. His works were exhibited in Italy and continue to appear in European art auctions. This is an antique item so does have some signs of age. Some faint lines can be seen on the canvas.
